Hello Chamber members and friends. You’re cordially invited to our April meeting of the Pacific City – Nestucca Valley Chamber of Commerce, Tuesday, April 2, 2024, 12:00 noon at the Kiawanda Community Center in Pacific City.
This special meeting will be a Spring Candidates’ Forum featuring candidates for the Oregon Legislature, Tillamook County Commission and Tillamook County Assessor. We’ll also hear from the Tillamook County Sheriff and Tillamook County Clerk both of whom are up for election and are unopposed but will be on the Fall ’24 ballot only.
There are 12 candidates in total and all have confirmed attendance. Ballots will be released May 1 and are due back by Tuesday, May 21.
The meeting will begin promptly at 12:00 noon and extend until about 2:00 pm to provide plenty of time for your questions to the candidates. Candidates may bring yard signs, campaign literature and other handouts. Doors will open at 11:30 for one-on-one conversation with our guests.
Each candidate will have about five minutes for opening remarks and additional time to answer your questions.
This is your opportunity to meet the individuals who will have something to say about how we all live, work and play in our part of Oregon. You’re likely to hear about Short Term Rentals, issues in our forests, plans to help with homeless problems across Oregon, local and state law enforcement, tourism management, election issues, financial issues and much, much more.
