Did you know that many of Tillamook’s multi-generational dairy farms trace their roots straight back to the Swiss Alps? 🇨🇭✨
Clara Blaser is coming to the Tillamook County Library to give a wonderful presentation titled “Cheese, Trees, and Dairy Dreams” to honor our local Swiss heritage. Clara is a Tillamook Swiss Society Member and she and her Dad, Tom, own Blaser Family Brown Swiss. She has recently been selected to join the Oregon Culture Keepers Roster, a curated, juried online database of excellent folk and traditional artists, cultural experts, and tradition bearers from across the state. Managed by the Oregon Folklife Network (OFN) (based at the University of Oregon), it connects local communities, libraries, schools, and festivals with artists who preserve and pass down living cultural practices.
