This class is designed for you to learn on your own sewing machine\, so please bring yours (including the manual) to use during the session. \nWhat You’ll Learn \n\nThe basic parts of your sewing machine and what they do\nHow to thread your machine and wind a bobbin\nHow to adjust tension for smooth stitching\nEssential machine care and maintenance\nHow to use basic stitches to complete a simple project\n\nWhat to Bring\nYour own portable sewing machine (in good working order) and its instruction manual. If you don’t have the manual in hand\, they are widely available for download online. Scissors and thread will be provided\, but you’re welcome to bring your own if preferred. All other materials will be provided.  \nPlease Note\nClass begins promptly at 1:00pm. Walk out with your own super cool fabric patches or “refreshed” clothing from home! 🌿 \n  \nJoin guest artist Daydreamn D (@daydreamn.d) for Block Printing on Fabric—a hands-on workshop where you’ll print stamps using hand-carved blocks onto rescued fabric to make patches OR bring a garment (3 or 4 items max) from home to print on. Please note we will be using black ink only\, lighter colored garments in natural fibers will work best. \n  \nNo experience needed.
