Sometimes what a person is angry about on the surface isn’t the real issue. Participants learn how to recognize what may be driving someone’s frustration and respond to the underlying need\, not just the complaint. \nThrough discussion\, real-world scenarios\, and hands-on exercises\, participants will practice how to: \n\n\nRespond effectively when a customer\, client\, or patient is upset \n\n\nDe-escalate tense situations while maintaining respect \n\n\nShare information that may be difficult or disappointing to hear \n\n\nKeep difficult conversations from becoming personal \n\n\nLook beyond the complaint to understand what the person really needs \n\n\nApproach challenging interactions with greater confidence and professionalism \n\n\nThe goal isn’t to make difficult conversations disappear\, it’s to give you and your teammates the skills to handle them well.
